It’s no secret that LeBron James is one of the greatest NBA players of all time.
Some fans believe he is the best to ever do it, but regardless of his overall ranking, James has dominated throughout his career.
Many have compared him to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant throughout his time in the league, as he has found sustained success through multiple decades.
While James was still dominant throughout the 2023-2024 season, Charles Barkley issued a public service announcement to James in a recent appearance on “Club Shay Shay” with Shannon Sharpe.
“I hope he retires while he can play,” Barkley said, adding, “Saw Michael Jordan playing with the Wizards. That’s the greatest player I played against, I don’t want to see him doing that with the Wizards.”

Jordan played a long career as well, but his time with the Washington Wizards was sub-optimal.
While he was an impressive force during his time with the Chicago Bulls, it was clear that Jordan was running out of juice when he was a member of the Wizards.
Barkley doesn’t want James to potentially tarnish his legacy by playing too long.
He believes that he should retire as soon as possible, as there isn’t much else for him to prove.
James already holds several significant NBA records, including the most points of all-time, an accolade that he only recently achieved.
It will be interesting to see how many more seasons James plays, especially considering the new controversy and discussion surrounding a potential move from the Los Angeles Lakers.
