Months ago, Charles Barkley announced that he would be retiring from television after the end of TNT’s hugely popular “Inside the NBA.”
But he recently revealed that he will not be stepping away from TNT, which is a huge and surprising change.
Speaking to Dan Patrick, Barkley said that he decided to reverse his retirement because he wanted to help people at TNT keep their jobs.
When the top brass at the network said that “Inside the NBA” would continue even though they lost their contract with the league, Barkley was happy to remain with the channel.

Many fans were shocked by Barkley’s interview with Patrick because he said that “Inside the NBA” was sticking around.
It’s not entirely clear how that is possible because Turner will no longer have a relationship with the association after the end of next season.
But they swore that the show would keep airing, meaning they have some sort of plan to keep Barkley on TV alongside Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Ernie Johnson.
No one is sure how the show will look but something is clearly being developed.
Barkley and his co-hosts have become a huge part of the league and the thought of losing the show was devastating for many.
Therefore, this is obviously very good news for devoted NBA followers.
The future isn’t clear and there are many details to be worked out but Barkley is remaining with TNT and, according to him, “Inside the NBA” isn’t going away.
