The Los Angeles Lakers were the second-best team in the NBA after the All-Star break.

They reaffirmed their great moment by winning the 7th seed in the play-in tournament and then knocking down the No. 2 seed Memphis Grizzlies in the first round.

Now, one could say that their series vs. the Golden State Warriors is a bit of a coin toss.

The Lakers could have a huge advantage on the glass with Anthony Davis, but Charles Barkley doesn’t trust him to get the job done in this series.

Per Barkley, Davis will be the X-factor in this series, but he claims he can’t trust him because of how inconsistent he is.

Truth be told, Barkley has a valid point right here.

There’s no denying that Davis is one of the most impactful two-way players in the history of this game.

However, he has a long history of underperforming when it matters the most, not to mention his never-ending injury woes.

Kevon Looney and Draymond Green did an outstanding job against Domantas Sabonis in their series against the Sacramento Kings.

But no disrespect to Sabonis; he’s not on Anthony Davis’ level.

Then again, Davis did allow Xavier Tillman to manhandle him in one of their losses to the Grizzlies.

So, again, you never know what version of him you’ll get night in and night out.

Will he be the Kevin Garnett 2.0 that can swat shots into the bleachers and put up 30+ on your best defender?

Or will he be the guy who hides instead of asking for the ball despite having a mismatch in the low-post?

It remains to be seen.
