Lu Dort of the Oklahoma City Thunder is one of the most monstrous players in the league and a huge part of why his team has been doing so well lately.
Legion Hoops recently tweeted that Dort “deserves more recognition” and his teammate agreed.
Chet Holmgren hopped on X to support Dort, saying he deserves “way more” recognition among fans of the league.

Dort just had a very impressive and impactful season for his Thunder, averaging 10.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists.
It was his fifth year with the Thunder and probably his most successful one yet.
Not only did he play incredible basketball and was a strong defensive threat every night, but the Thunder also pushed into the playoffs after claiming the top spot in the West.
They showed the rest of the world that they are perhaps the most exciting young team in the league and could definitely be championship contenders within the next few years.
While most people focus on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander when they think of the Thunder, Holmgren and others believe that Dort should be celebrated more.
He is a key piece of the rotation and a great example of a player who can do a lot on both ends of the court.
However, he is just one of many key parts of the team and they have a youthful roster that is packed full of great, promising talent.
Dort might not be respected as much as Holmgren and others believe he should be but he’s definitely doing a lot for the Thunder.
And in the season ahead, he could help them reach the Finals, which is what matters the most.
