The Miami Heat and their fans have built a bit of a reputation.

For years, people have talked about the boot camp-like system Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra have put together and how tough you have to be to make it there.

Others have talked about how disciplined you must be to play for the Heat, given that Miami is full of temptations, particularly at night.

Recently, Chet Holmgren had a very interesting take on them.

In his appearance on the Road Trippin’ podcast, the Oklahoma City Thunder rookie was asked about his favorite road arenas to play in (via Never Been Equal):

Chet Holmgren’s response when asked what are his favorite road arenas to play in:

*in no order*

1.) Golden State

2.) Miami

3.) Minnesota (hometown)

He also said “We have a ball in there” when talking about Golden State, even Chet knows it’s the Shai area now pic.twitter.com/N3GK3iSZzY

He chose, in no particular order, the CHASE Center (Golden State Warriors), Kaseya Center (Miami Heat), and Target Center (Minnesota Timberwolves).

He talked about the crazy environment in the Bay area and the fact that Minnesota was his hometown, and he took somewhat of a jab at Heat fans, stating that it was kind of a ‘drunk’ environment and the arena was always empty.

Per Holmgren, visiting teams just need to build a lead in the first three quarters because the arena will be empty by the fourth quarter.

Of course, it didn’t seem as if he was purposely trying to be disrespectful, but it’ll be interesting to see how Heat fans greet him the next time he’s in town.
