The Kansas City Chiefs offense has struggled all year with inconsistent play from its wide receiver room.
Injuries, drops, and overall inexperience thwarted what could have been a quality offensive season for Kansas City.
But with a Divisional matchup with the Buffalo Bills approaching this weekend, the Chiefs designated one of their starting wide receivers to return from injury: Skyy Moore (via Ari Meirov).

The 2022 second-round pick hasn’t played since he suffered a knee injury in Week 15 and landed on injured reserve, although he wasn’t very effective even when he was on the field.
Moore dropped a couple passes earlier in the year and couldn’t capture Patrick Mahomes’ attention as a No. 1 receiver – eventually ceding more snaps to rookie wideout Rashee Rice and veteran Justin Watson.
So while Moore’s impending return doesn’t mean the Chiefs will be significantly better, his experience – especially with Mahomes in the playoffs this past season – should be crucial to how Andy Reid gameplans for the Bills on Sunday.
Moore will likely fill into a No. 3 or No. 4 role on the offense behind tight end Travis Kelce, Rice, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
The Chiefs need all the help that they can get after a down offensive season, though they showed in their Wild Card win over the Miami Dolphins the ability to put up points in adverse conditions and keep a good offense at bay.
And with a matchup against the high-flying Bills up next, the Chiefs will need an offense at full strength in order to compete with Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen on the other side.
