The Kansas City Chiefs made the big-time move to draft another speedy wide receiver in the NFL Draft this year.

Texas receiver Xavier Worthy was the draft choice for them at pick No. 28 overall.

He set the NFL Scouting Combine record in the 40-yard-dash this offseason (4.21).

GM Brett Veach was recently asked on SiriusXM NFL Radio about the team’s selection of Worthy.

“Everyone’s going to see the 4.21 speed…We got the sense that from a mental standpoint, he can handle a lot,” Veach said.

Imagine thinking that the Chiefs got better this offseason.

That’s after winning back-to-back Super Bowls.

Now, they have gotten even deeper on the offensive side.

They have added multiple wide receivers this offseason in 1,000-yard veteran “Hollywood” Brown and the All-American in Worthy.

Oh, and Patrick Mahomes is still the quarterback.

This is what teams are going to have to face this year as Kansas City goes for the three-peat.

Worthy himself will be this team’s DeSean Jackson.

He can stretch the field and open lanes for other receivers.

Rest assured, Andy Reid will have some special plays drawn up for Worthy and Mahomes.

It is definitely fair to say that Kansas City has done a pretty good job of replacing Tyreek Hill.

In fact, people are right to say that they won when everyone said they lost after he headed to Miami.
