The Kansas City Chiefs may not look like the same offensive force they have become known to be, but they made light work of the Miami Dolphins during Wild Card weekend.
The Chiefs handily beat the Dolphins 26-7 and the game was never close as the weather conditions clearly got to Tua Tagovailoa.
Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes looked comfortable throwing to his receivers the entire day and Kansas City benefitted from a defense that kept Miami from ever threatening their lead.
However, Mahomes and company are on the road for the Divisional Round against the Buffalo Bills who appear to be peaking at the right time.
The Bills pose a much bigger threat than the Dolphins because of their ability to score efficiently, largely in part because of Josh Allen who’s playing some of his best football.
Mahomes will likely need to throw to keep pace, but he’ll be without Kadarius Toney who was ruled out via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
“The #Chiefs have downgraded WR Kadarius Toney to out for Sunday’s game with hip and ankle injuries,” Rapoport tweeted.

Toney has dealt with injuries his entire NFL career and unfortunately he remains sidelined during the playoffs.
The receiver sat last week against Miami and it seems as though he could miss the rest of the postseason should Kansas City advance.
However, it isn’t much of a loss for the Chiefs offense as Toney has been playing fewer snaps after some critical drops during the regular season.
Without Toney, Mahomes will simply rely on Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice to get the passing game going.
