Chiefs’ New Super Bowl Rings Appear To Have A Typo

As the old saying goes, “You had one job to do.”

That is typically followed by spotlighting a glaring error that could have easily been prevented with proper attention and oversight.

For the Kansas City Chiefs, their third Super Bowl ring in five seasons is a marvel to behold, and it came complete with 529 diamonds and 38 rubies.

And a typo.

The rings are emblazoned with a record of the Chiefs’ march to their second consecutive Lombardi Trophy, but Ari Meirov noted that Kansas City’s opening postseason opponent, Miami, was listed as the AFC’s No. 7 seed.

That honor went to Pittsburgh.

The #Chiefs‘ Super Bowl ring appears to have a typo, listing the #Dolphins as the 7th seed when they were actually the 6th seed.

Miami was the conference’s No. 6 entry, and the Chiefs swept the Dolphins aside, 26-7, on a bitterly cold day in Missouri.

The defending champs hardly blazed a trail into the playoffs, but they caught fire when it mattered.

Kansas City followed up its opening rout of the Fins with three straight squeakers, including another triumph over Buffalo.

They then went to hostile Baltimore and befuddled MVP Lamar Jackson on the way to a 17-10 victory and another Super Bowl berth.

There, they survived an instant classic against the San Francisco 49ers, prevailing in overtime, 25-22.

Fans will quickly forget the apparent typo on the flashy Super Bowl rings – their third in five seasons – but they will always remember quarterback Patrick Mahomes connecting with Mecole Hardman for the game-winning three-yard touchdown.

Now, the goal is even more jewelry as the team embarks on its quest to become the first NFL franchise to secure a three-peat.

If that happens, you can bet those rings will be carefully inspected.
