The Kansas City Chiefs are the team to beat in the National Football League right now, so it’s only right that they have a growing following over the past couple of years.
Nonetheless, they took things to a whole new level last season.
That had plenty to do with the fact that Travis Kelce started dating the most popular pop star on Earth, with hundreds of thousands of Taylor Swift fans rooting for the team now.
That’s why, when asked whether Swift was officially a part of Chiefs Kingdom, Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt didn’t hesitate to welcome her with open arms (via People):
“She sent a social media communication that used the word ‘we,’ ” he said. “So she is definitely part of the Chiefs Kingdom,” Hunt said.

Hunt referred to a clip that Swift starred in during their ring ceremony.
She couldn’t be there to support her better half because she was performing in England, so she made sure to partake virtually.
She talked about how the Chiefs had been able to get Mecole Hardman for another year, referring to the team as ‘we,’ so he’s clearly now a fan.
Taylor Swift was in attendance at most Chiefs home games last season.
Needless to say, the NFL will continue to ride this wave for as long as it lasts, and the Chiefs will also take as much free publicity as they can get.
This is just the ultimate PR dream for any franchise or major sports tournament.
