Just when it seemed like the Kansas City Chiefs had finally found their deep-play threat, they might be without him for when it actually counts.

Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown suffered a sternoclavicular joint dislocation in Saturday’s preseason loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The injury was so serious that he actually had to be taken to the hospital, according to Chiefs HC Andy Reid.

Moreover, Adam Schefter of ESPN now reports that his status for the start of the regular season is now officially in question.

Coach Reid compared this injury to the one Tyreek Hill suffered in 2019, which cost him four games.

Reid also claimed that he expects the speedster to ‘potentially’ miss some time.

This was a bit of a nightmare debut for the former Baltimore Ravens star.

He suffered the injury on his very first snap as a Chief.

Patrick Mahomes passed him the ball on a crossing route for an 11-yard grab before Jaguars’ CB Montaric Brown tackled him.

He was listed as questionable to return shortly after and was eventually replaced by rookie Xavier Worthy.

The Chiefs added Brown in the offseason to provide Mahomes with the deep play specialist they’ve lacked since Tyreek Hill was traded.

Brown has dealt with multiple injuries in the past, so this wasn’t a big shocker.

Hopefully, he won’t be out for long and will be able to contribute to the Chiefs’ pursuit for a third consecutive Super Bowl title.
