Injuries and health problems can be the one thing that robs athletes and their teams of their potential, and it is the one thing that must be avoided in order to achieve true success.

Chris Bosh was able to achieve some true success as an NBA star, but his career was derailed when he was still young due to blood clots.

Per Courtside Buzz, Bosh will take the court for the first time since 2016 when he will participate in the farewell game of Goran Dragic, a former teammate of his.

BREAKING: Chris Bosh will PLAY in Goran Dragic’s farewell game, which will be Bosh’s first time playing since he had to retire due to blood clots in 2016.

Bosh was the No. 4 pick in that much-celebrated 2003 NBA Draft that included LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade.

He established himself as a bona fide star in his first seven seasons as a member of the Toronto Raptors, and during that time, he averaged 20.2 points and 9.4 rebounds a game while making five straight All-Star teams.

Bosh then teamed up with Wade and James in 2010 on the Miami Heat, and together, they went to the NBA Finals four straight times and won back-to-back world championships in 2012 and 2013.

He was hoping to keep the Heat competitive after James left in 2014 and Wade’s production declined due to knee problems, but he was diagnosed with a blood clot in one of his lungs during the 2014-15 season.

A second blood clot the following season forced him to retire, and he played his final NBA game at the age of 31 when he still had a lot left in his tank.

But Bosh, who was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2021, will at least be able to return to the game he loves for one day while paying tribute to Dragic, who helped the Heat retool and get to the NBA Finals in 2020.
