After getting the best of the division-rival Golden State Warriors in a double-overtime thriller at the Chase Center recently, the Los Angeles Lakers have quickly come back down to earth with two disappointing losses to the Houston Rockets and Atlanta Hawks.

As if losing to two teams that the Lakers should’ve beaten wasn’t bad enough for the storied franchise, they were blown out in both games, as LeBron James and company played with zero energy and effort during these two costly losses.

On Tuesday night, following the blowout loss to the Hawks, James took to Twitter with another one of his cryptic tweets, which was meant to get everyone talking on Wednesday.

It was mission accomplished for James, as he caused quite a stir with his tweet, which was simply an hourglass indicating that time was up, which could potentially mean one of two things about his team.

The cryptic tweet could mean that Ham is nearing the end of his stint as the team’s head coach after making some questionable moves over the past few games or that the team needs to make a trade or two before the NBA trade deadline on February 8.

Chris Broussard of FOX Sports believes that it was a petty move by James to stir the pot after yet another loss via First Things First.

“LeBron, you’re better than this. You’re one of the two greatest players ever. If anyone has the authority to go to the team, just say it. I don’t have time for the Sherlock Holmes stuff,” Broussard said.

Coffee maker or hourglass?

This tweet could also mean that his time with the Lakers is coming to an end; either he wants to be traded or will leave the team during the summer when he can opt out of his contract with the team to become a free agent.

Whatever the case, things are getting heated in Los Angeles, with a potential shake-up for the Lakers on the horizon.
