The Dallas Cowboys started their 2023 season with a blowout victory over the New York Giants.
This was the largest margin of defeat during the first week of the season, and the Cowboys held their heads high after this contest.
However, in Chris Broussard’s eyes, they should caution themselves considering it is a long season.
Micah Parsons has made comments about the Cowboys heading to the Super Bowl, which directly correlated with their first win of the season.
Broussard responded to this on “First Things First,” saying, “When you talk too soon, there’s never a doubt that it’ll go wrong.”

This is a likely reference to the Cowboys’ recent track record.
They have been a great regular-season team lately, making it to the playoffs in three of the last five years.
However, the furthest they have made it in the postseason during that time is the divisional round.
The Cowboys haven’t appeared in a Super Bowl since 1995, the last time they took home the title.
While Parsons’ aspirations are certainly noble, Broussard would like to see more from this team.
Dak Prescott has been under a lot of pressure throughout the offseason, as many pundits believe he is not their answer at quarterback.
The offense has many solid pieces, but if the quarterback position is shaky, it’s all for naught.
Several pieces will need to fit together in the puzzle that is the Cowboys roster.
Can they put everything together, proving analysts like Broussard wrong en route to a Super Bowl victory?
