With the 2023 NBA Draft less than 24 hours away, all the talk surrounds what will happen with the No. 2 and No. 3 picks, with No. 1 seemingly guaranteed to be Victor Wembanyama going to the San Antonio Spurs.

The consensus is that Brandon Miller, out of the University of Alabama, will be the No. 2 overall pick and start his NBA career with the Charlotte Hornets.

That said, Scoot Henderson will likely go to the Portland Trail Blazers at No. 3 to play alongside Damian Lillard unless the team trades their superstar or decides to trade the pick, which are both scenarios currently being discussed.

Although Miller seems destined to be Michael Jordan’s last pick as majority owner of the Hornets, the draft prospect had some head-scratching comments this week calling Paul George of the Los Angeles Clippers his GOAT, which Chris Broussard of Fox Sports jokingly says would be a reason not to draft him via First Things First.

As Broussard suggests, if Miller thinks George is the greatest NBA player of all time, there’s something really wrong there, especially considering he’s expected to get drafted by arguably the greatest player of all time in Jordan.

Miller clearly made a mistake here and he will almost certainly get asked the same question again in order to clarify his comments and it’ll likely get a big laugh, but as of right now, the Hornets have to be thinking twice about bringing him in as that about as questionable of a take as there’s ever been when it comes to basketball.
