The Cincinnati Bengals began training camp with an injury scare.

Joe Burrow was carted off the field on one of their first days of camp, sending their fans into a panic.

While his injury doesn’t appear to be season-ending, there have been mixed responses throughout the media.

Some believe he should play as soon as he’s ready, while others have suggested a more methodical approach.

In a recent segment of ‘First Things First,’ Chris Broussard gave his opinion on the matter.

“The future is Joe Burrow,” Broussard said, adding “No matter how long it takes, you let him get healthy.”

Should Burrow sit out until he’s 100 percent?

Burrow’s presence in Cincinnati has brought life to an organization that was near the bottom of the league.

Before Burrow was drafted, the Bengals had a four-year playoff drought.

However, they are now seen as one of the AFC’s top teams, appearing in the AFC Championship in consecutive seasons.

Without Burrow, that standing is in serious jeopardy.

As Broussard indicates, he’d rather the Bengals wait rather than rush him back, as he’s the face of their franchise.

Broussard did point out that Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase are great receivers, but ultimately, Burrow is the king in Cincinnati.

Chase has made similar public statements to Broussard, citing that Burrow should sit out until Week 5 if necessary.

Without Burrow at the beginning of the season, the Bengals could find themselves in a difficult spot.

How will this team fare without him if he misses any regular season games?
