It’ll take a while before we see NBA teams taking the floor again, but most of the rosters are pretty much set by now.

Barring any last-second trade, an injury, or a couple of minor signings, chances are that teams have already put their rosters for the upcoming campaign together.

With that in mind, NBA analyst Chris Broussard recently put together his list of the top five contenders for the upcoming campaign, and there weren’t many surprises.

For starters, he chose the Los Angeles Lakers at No. 5, which makes sense, considering they made it to the Western Conference Finals last season and got slightly better with a couple of additions.

At No. 4, Broussard chose the Boston Celtics.

Again, that’s no surprise, given their roster, even though they lost a couple of key rotation pieces in Grant Williams and Marcus Smart.

Broussard later talked about the Milwaukee Bucks as the third-biggest contender for the upcoming campaign, a team with a new head coach in Adrian Griffin, but that boasts pretty much the same strong and balanced roster from previous campaigns.

The Phoenix Suns got the nod at No. 2, with Broussard citing that he really liked what they did in free agency and how their three stars can coexist.

Obviously, the reigning champions, Denver Nuggets, were his pick for the No. 1 contender in the league.

Even if they got slightly worse by losing Bruce Brown Jr. in free agency, they still have their championship core together and locked up for the next couple of years at the very least.
