The NFC South has been dominated by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints for the past six years.

However, Tom Brady and Drew Brees have now retired from the NFL, leaving a gap at the quarterback position.

This also puts the division up for grabs, considering there is no clear-cut favorite.

In a recent “First Things First” segment on FS1, Chris Broussard highlighted his predictions for the division.

Broussard believes the Saints will win the division, and the Atlanta Falcons will also make the playoffs.

When discussing the Saints, Broussard pointed to Derek Carr as the reason for their potential success.

He briefly mentioned the Saints’ defense, that it is one of the best Carr has worked under in his career.

Broussard also talked about the Saints offense, filled with talent such as Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara.

With all of these pieces in mind, Broussard does believe the Saints will win the division.

When discussing the Falcons, a predicted playoff team, for him, Broussard talked about their run game as a reason to believe.

The Falcons have one of the youngest offensive cores in football.

If they can materialize their individual talents into genuine success, there’s no telling how high the Falcons’ ceiling might be.

Broussard ranked the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as his third and fourth teams, respectively.

The Panthers could experience some growing pains in Bryce Young’s rookie year, and Broussard gave cause for concern about Baker Mayfield.

Fans have less than two weeks to see if Broussard’s predictions will play out.
