After years of being one of the most disappointing storied franchises in the NFL, the Chicago Bears have seized the opportunity to potentially turn things around for the foreseeable future by selecting USC superstar quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Along with bringing in Williams, who many believe could be a superstar on the NFL level in the very near future, the Bears also traded for veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen and brought in rookie wideout Rome Odunze, giving the new leader under center some weapons along with DJ Moore, who recently signed a contract extension with the team.
With the Bears getting a lot of attention for all their additions and Chicago looking like a team that could be much improved during the upcoming 2024 NFL regular season, many have speculated on how far this new-look squad can go this year.
Nick Wright of FOX Sports went with the bold take to say Chicago will win the NFC during the upcoming season, and that was shot down by Chris Broussard, who thinks there’s no chance they will go the distance in 2024 via First Things First.
“The Bears are not going to the Super Bowl,” Broussard said.
“The Bears are not — N-O-T — going to the Super Bowl.”

Although the Bears have a lot of potential to be a high-powered offense, like the Houston Texans were last season with rookie phenom CJ Stroud leading the charge, there’s no telling what the immediate future holds for this young squad in the Windy City.
Even though the Bears could be a breakout team in the NFC, there will likely be some growing pains in Chicago before this team really gets going.
