The AFC East was dominated by the New England Patriots throughout the Tom Brady era.

Now that he is officially retired from the NFL, the division is back up for grabs, with a few teams poised to take over.

In a recent segment of ‘First Things First’ on FS1, Chris Broussard gave his predictions for the division.

Broussard believes the Buffalo Bills will win the AFC East, and the New York Jets will finish in second place.

With this prediction, Broussard does not think the Patriots or Miami Dolphins will make the playoffs this season.

The Dolphins made the postseason in 2022, but due to major injuries, they did not advance past the Wild Card round.

Despite making several moves throughout the offseason, his belief in the Dolphins is minimal.

The same goes for the Patriots, who have struggled since Brady’s departure.

Mac Jones has not been the quarterback many anticipated, including Broussard who thinks they will finish last in the division.

However, Broussard does buy into the Jets hype, especially given the addition of Aaron Rodgers into this offense.

For a team that has missed the playoffs for 12 consecutive seasons, the Jets have a lot of confidence.

They are one of Broussard’s picks to make the playoffs this year alongside the Bills.

Josh Allen continues to inspire confidence in the Bills fanbase and analysts across the league.

Will Broussard’s analysis come to fruition?

Or, will a few surprises emerge, shaking up the division in an unexpected manner?

Fans will begin to see how the season unfolds, as there are less than two weeks until kickoff.
