People may or may not agree with the fact that we’re witnessing the most talented era of NFL quarterbacks in league history.

The game may or may not be better, and the numbers are most definitely helped by the fact that the rules favor offense over defense.

But from a talent and skill standpoint alone, one could argue that this is the best era of NFL quarterbacks ever.

Back in the day, teams often favored the running game and could even win at the highest level with game managers at quarterback, and that’s simply not the case anymore.

With that in mind, former NFL player Chris Canty shared his list of the top five quarterbacks in today’s game (via UNSPORTSMANLIKE Radio).

Notably, he named CJ Stroud at No. 5.

The Houston Texans youngster is a rising star, and he already has him over guys like Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts, Aaron Rodgers, or Matthew Stafford.

Then, he chose Cincinnati Bengals star Joe Burrow.

Burrow is one of the most talented and impactful players in the game, but he’s missed some time with injuries.

Josh Allen got the nod at No. 3.

The Buffalo Bills star has all the physical tools and talent to be the best in the league, but his risky decision-making has often gotten him in trouble.

Then, he has the reigning MVP, Lamar Jackson.

The Baltimore Ravens star is the best dual-threat quarterback in the league and perhaps the best scrambler we’ve ever seen.

Unsurprisingly, he had Patrick Mahomes in the top spot.

The Kansas City Chiefs are the team to beat in the league and plenty of that has to do with him.
