To say that the Minnesota Timberwolves have struggled for most of their history could be an understatement.

They were born as an expansion team with a huge following rallying behind them, but it didn’t take long before things went south for them.

Even so, Garnett still managed to lead the franchise to the Western Conference Finals once, but to no avail.

That’s why last night’s win was so big for this organization and the fan base.

Following the win, Timberwolves coach Chris Finch raved about how important this was and how much it meant to the city (via NBA).

“It’s a big moment for our club… it does mean a lot to a lot of people… the city is behind this team.”

The Timberwolves have been through a lot since Garnett first left the team.

Despite having plenty of talent in their ranks, they were never even close to getting back to this stage.

It takes a special talent and character to get an ever-struggling team over the hump, and that’s what they got with Anthony Edwards.

Edwards’ energy is contagious, and he’s one of the most entertaining players to watch in this game.

The way he led this team made them believe, up to the point where they secured the largest comeback in a Game 7 in NBA playoff history to finally get back to the Western Conference Finals.
