Chris Paul of the Golden State Warriors has forged a career that has made him a sure-fire first-ballot future Hall of Famer and one of the greatest pure point guards of all time.
However, he has also been snake-bitten when it has come to his quest to finally win an NBA championship.
While he implied he doesn’t need to win it all to feel like his career is complete, he sounds convinced he will win it all before his NBA career ends, per NBACentral.
“Even though I think I’m gonna win a championship before I’m done, yes absolutely,” Paul said.

When Paul was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers just prior to the 2011-12 season, his championship window officially opened.
But although those Clippers teams also featured fellow All-Star Blake Griffin, they were never able to reach the Western Conference Finals.
They had plenty of misfortune along the way, including the Donald Sterling controversy that led to him being banned from the league in 2014 and numerous ill-times injuries, including some to Paul.
Paul looked like he was finally on his way to the NBA Finals in 2018 as a member of the Houston Rockets, but he suffered a serious hamstring injury in the closing moments of Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals.
Despite taking a 3-2 series lead in that game, the Rockets lost the next two contests without Paul.
Then came the 2021 NBA Finals where Paul’s Phoenix Suns blew a 2-0 series lead and fell to the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Warriors don’t look like championship contenders this season, but some feel they will make big changes this offseason that would give Paul, who has one year left on his contract, one final crack at a world title.
