Chris Paul of the Golden State Warriors is not only one of the best and most accomplished point guards in league history but he has also been involved with the NBA in other ways.
Notably, Paul was the president of the National Basketball Players Association from 2013 to 2021.
During that time, he fought hard on behalf of the players and he remains quite proud of all he accomplished.
On Twitter, Paul touched upon that role and his philosophy behind it:

That’s a strong philosophy from Paul, whose “why” was making sure the NBA players were treated well by the league.
It’s not surprising to see the guard say that he works harder when he sees positive results.
That has been the case throughout his career.
Paul’s time as the NBPA president was eventful.
Perhaps the biggest moment of his tenure was when the league moved to ban Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling due to racist remarks he made.
Paul was at the center of that controversy and even said that the Clippers considered boycotting the season and going on strike if Sterling wasn’t removed from his position.
Sterling of course was eventually banned from his ownership role.
Paul was able to balance such an important job with his other vital role on the court and still found great success in both positions.
But since 2021, he has solely been a player and is now about to enter his 19th year in the league.
