The Arizona Diamondbacks took on the San Francisco Giants on Friday night as the two teams opened a three-game weekend series.
Arizona won the game by a final of 7-5 and remained three games back of the Los Angeles Dodgers for first place in the NL West.
However, an odd moment took place in the bottom of the sixth with the game tied at four apiece.
When shortstop Nick Ahmed checked his swing and the first base umpire confirmed that he had checked it in time, first baseman Christian Walker clapped from the dugout.
Strangely though, this led to Walker being ejected from the game by home plate umpire Alfonso Marquez.

This is certainly an odd situation for a player to be ejected from a game.
Walker didn’t appear to have said anything to the umpires that would warrant an ejection.
However, the umpiring crew did not see it that way for whatever reason, and Walker was swiftly tossed from the game.
Following the ejection, Walker attempted to plead his case, pointing out to the umpiring crew that he was simply clapping his hands after the correct call was made when Ahmed checked his swing.
But it was no use, and Walker was forced to exit the game.
The slugging first baseman went hitless in two at-bats with a walk and a strikeout as the D-Backs took care of the Giants on Friday.
But he was robbed of a chance to improve his night when he was tossed from the game.
