The Los Angeles Clippers lost one of their biggest stars when Paul George recently took a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.
They are attempting to put together a roster that can compete next year and are looking to move on from the George era.
According to a report from Michael Scotto, per Evan Sidery, the Clippers are now interested in acquiring Tyus Jones, the point guard currently playing for the Washington Wizards.
Last season, Jones posted 12 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 7.3 assists during his 66 games in Washington and is seen as one of the most promising free agents still on the market.
The Clippers are interested in acquiring Tyus Jones via sign-and-trade, per @MikeAScotto (https://t.co/LAVWpCSVNE).

Scott said the Clippers could offer a few options to Washington in a sign-and-trade deal that would result in Jones playing in Los Angeles.
They could give them a combination of the expiring contracts of PJ Tucker and Russell Westbrook with draft picks or might send them Bones Hyland.
Scotto noted that the need for Hyland has diminished now that the Clippers have James Harden and just signed Kevin Porter Jr., with the chances of them also adding Kris Dunn.
That raises another question: how would Jones fit into a team that already has several shooters?
Jones just earned the best field goal percentage of his year, shooting 48.9% from the field during his sole season with the Wizards.
In the years before, he made a name for himself as a great guard off the bench, but he got more responsibilities with the Wizards.
It seems likely that he’d become part of the Clippers’ bench if he was traded but perhaps he could earn his spot in the starting five.
