The Los Angeles Clippers just can’t seem to get over the hump.
They were the best team in the league at one point in the season, but injuries derailed their hopes.
If that sounds familiar, that’s because it is, as it’s been the case with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George since they arrived in town.
With that in mind, the Clippers are looking to reshape their roster.
That means there’s not room for everybody, including one of their former draft picks.
According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Clippers chose not to tender a qualifying offer to G/F Brandon Boston Jr.; thus making him an unrestricted free agent.

He was their No. 51 pick back in 2021, but he couldn’t establish himself as a steady part of their rotation.
The Clippers have bigger fish to fry right now, though.
Paul George has yet to make a decision regarding the next year of his contract.
He could either opt-out and become an unrestricted free agent, opt out and do a sign-and-trade, or come back on a lesser deal than he’s reportedly looking for.
It seems like both parties are far apart in negotiations, as George is looking to get a deal similar to the one Kawhi Leonard got, and the Clippers aren’t willing to make him such an offer.
George’s decision could have huge implications for the future of this organization.
As for Boston Jr., he’s young enough to get another chance somewhere else, even if it’s not with a contender.
