PJ Tucker might be playing in the NBA next season, but he won’t be doing it with the Los Angeles Clippers.
According to Law Murray, per NBACentral, the Clippers and Tucker are parting ways this summer.
Murray reported:
“While Tucker opted into the final year of a deal that will pay him $11 million in a season when he will turn 40, the Clippers are expected to part ways with him this offseason, either via a trade or the stretch provision, according to a team source.”
PJ Tucker has most likely played his last game as a Clipper, per @LawMurrayTheNU

Tucker didn’t do much during his single year with the Clippers, averaging just 1.6 points and 2.5 rebounds during 28 games.
He publicly stated that he wanted to do more for the team but there clearly wasn’t a spot for him and it became obvious that he was probably only going to play for a sole season in Los Angeles.
The team is going to cut ties with Tucker but it’s not entirely clear where he will go.
At 39 years old, Tucker isn’t all that appealing, especially after the last season he had.
In his prime, he was seen as a strong shooter and a great defensive star.
He played for the Toronto Raptors, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, and others.
He has been hopping around a lot of teams over the last few years and experiencing trouble with a long-term commitment from one team.
Where will he be going next?
Wherever he ends up, Tucker will definitely be signing an inexpensive contract and likely won’t get a lot of time on the floor.
But he is hoping that he will get at least more playing time than he got with the Clippers.
