For many years, the Los Angeles Clippers have shared an arena with the Los Angeles Lakers, and they have been considered the stepbrothers of the Purple and Gold.

But that has changed in recent years as the Clippers have sported some very good squads, and next season, they will finally have their own arena: Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Per Shams Charania, that new arena is going to host the 2026 NBA All-Star Game and its associated events.

The Clippers franchise was started in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves, and in their early years, they featured Bob McAdoo, who had some dominant seasons in the mid-1970s when he led the NBA in scoring and took home an MVP award.

But McAdoo was traded to the New York Knicks during the 1976-77 season, and the Braves’ fortunes instantly declined.

The team moved west in 1978 and became the San Diego Clippers, and after six lackluster years, it moved to Los Angeles.

Over the past decade, the team has had plenty of regular-season success with stars such as Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and now James Harden.

But for all that success, the Clippers have never gotten to the NBA Finals and have played in the Western Conference Finals only once.

Lately, they have been hot and have won 16 of their last 19 games, and their offense has been blazing hot, which has led many to believe this could be their year.

Of course, plenty said that about the Clippers in past regular seasons, and the team has had nothing to show for it.
