Many people thought the Denver Nuggets were on their way to losing in the Western Conference semifinals after the Minnesota Timberwolves took a commanding 2-0 lead in the series last week.
There were countless criticisms and obituaries being written about the reigning champions after their back-to-back losses.
But the Nuggets surged back into contention in Games 3 and 4 and now the series is tied at two wins for each team.
Speaking on his show, Colin Cowherd laid out how the Nuggets turned things around.
He said they saw the series was all about defense and knew they couldn’t beat the Timberwolves in that department.
Therefore, they focused on what they do best: scoring a lot and transforming this series into an offensive battle.
Because of this, Cowherd said the series now looks like a “mismatch.”

The team certainly seems to be back on track and that is cause for concern for the Timberwolves.
With these consecutive wins, the Nuggets have reminded everyone, especially Minnesota, why they are champions.
Their talent was there all along, but they looked lackluster, tired, and out of sorts during the first two games.
But head coach Michael Malone whipped his team back into shape and they played like a completely different group in Games 3 and 4.
However, the Timberwolves are also supremely talented and Chris Finch and his coaching staff have hopes of turning this series around.
Does that mean they will require their players to shoot better or perhaps turn things back into a defensive fight?
They are surely formulating a game plan right now and expect to get their revenge during Game 5.
