The NBA playoffs are officially underway.
The first few games have already provided an exciting atmosphere for fans, and if the rest of the playoffs are similar, this could be one of the best postseasons in recent history.
Fans seem to be more engaged this year, which could be due to the fact that there are several new teams at the top of their respective conferences.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are one of those teams, as they finished the season as the No. 3 team in the West, and started the playoffs in dominant fashion over the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns seemed to have their number during the regular season, but the Timberwolves got their revenge in Game 1.
After seeing the Timberwolves beat them, Colin Cowherd had one thing to say about one of the Suns’ best players.
“Kevin Durant is becoming increasingly irrelevant,” Cowherd said.
“Kevin Durant is becoming increasingly irrelevant.”

Durant scored 31 points in this game, which is certainly impressive in a playoff matchup, but he didn’t take over the game as much as Cowherd expected.
The Timberwolves are a relatively young team in comparison to Durant and the Suns, and yet, they found a way to win by over 20 points.
Durant used to be able to keep his team in games by himself, but as Cowherd indicated, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore.
The Suns got limited production from their other star players in this game, and as a result, Durant was unable to keep up.
If they want to beat teams down the stretch, Durant might have to go back to his old ways to give the Suns a chance.
