The Golden State Warriors’ dynasty led by the dynamic trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green seems to be nearing its end, with the team looking like a shell of its former form and potentially on the verge of breaking up this summer.

It seems as though Curry could be a Warrior for life, as he has been the face of the franchise ever since the team started to have sustained success.

Thompson might be on the way out this summer in NBA free agency, while the team might move on from veteran forward Andrew Wiggins via trade if they can find a team interested in his services.

Although it appears that things are winding down for the once-mighty Warriors in the Bay Area, Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports believes the storied franchise might have something up its sleeve this summer in order to spend at least one more season in the limelight as a legitimate title contender, via The Volume.

“I think they’re going to take a huge swing,” Cowherd said. “That’s my guess. Maybe it’s Karl-Anthony Towns.”

If Towns has proven anything during these NBA playoffs, it is that he is the most expendable star on the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the team might be better off without him as they try to build a title contender around rising star Anthony Edwards.

That said, there’s a chance that Minnesota could look to trade Towns this summer, with a team like the Warriors potentially ready to make a deal.
