The 2023 season went a lot better for the Houston Texans than many people anticipated.

They went from a three-win team in 2022 to a ten-win team, which helped them win their division.

C.J. Stroud was a massive part of their success, as he was instantly able to turn them around.

After seeing how the 2024 NFL Draft played out, it is evident that other teams in the league are trying to emulate their success, hoping they can find a rookie QB to pan out in Year 1.

There were six quarterbacks taken within the first 12 picks of this year’s draft, a record.

One of those picks was Bo Nix, the Denver Broncos’ pick at 12.

Nix was a polarizing prospect heading into the league, but he has impressed in training camp, and he looked more than competent in their first preseason game.

With that in mind, Colin Cowherd made a bold claim on his show, saying, “If Bo Nix hits, they’re the Texans. All the stuff disappears.”

Cowherd is under the impression that all the Broncos need is a solid quarterback.

They haven’t had stability at the position since Peyton Manning left, which is why they’ve been inconsistent for years.

If Nix can provide the type of upside Cowherd is talking about, there’s no telling what the future could hold for this team.

The AFC West has proven to be a tough division with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs being so dominant, so Nix and the Broncos certainly face an uphill battle.
