Luka Doncic has been dealing with a chest contusion, a bad ankle, and a banged-up knee.

Even so, and while he hasn’t been particularly efficient and has struggled to take care of the basketball, he’s still been able to put up his usual scoring numbers.

That hasn’t been the case with Kyrie Irving.

He’s been the most disappointing player in the series thus far, not only because of his scoring prowess but also because of all the talk about him getting back at the Boston Celtics.

That’s why sports analysts Colin Cowherd and Jason Timpf called him out (via The Volume Sports & ClutchPoints).

“Well, Kyrie [Irving] hasn’t played. It would be nice if he showed up for the Finals… [Jayson] Tatum will get more heat because he’s in his athletic prime… Kyrie, a no-show? This is mostly a lopsided series.”

Cowherd argued that Jayson Tatum would get more heat than Kyrie because he’s in his athletic prime and has been a non-factor in two wins.

However, it’s Kyrie who’s been struggling the most and the one who should’ve stepped up to give his co-star a hand.

Timpf thinks Kyrie struggled in Boston because of the crowd and all the negativity.

Kyrie poked the bear by stating that he thought the TD Garden would be much louder, yet he couldn’t back up the talk on the court.

Now, away from a hostile environment, there will be no more margin for error for Irving and his teammates.
