The Minnesota Timberwolves are one of the few talented young teams in the NBA that were able to make a massive jump in the standings during the 2023-24 NBA regular season, with guard Anthony Edwards turning into a bona fide superstar with a bright future ahead.

After barely making the NBA playoffs last year by going through the Play-In Tournament, the Timberwolves were able to finish as the third seed in the Western Conference this season and have high hopes of making a deep run in the postseason and potentially lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy when it is all said and done.

The Timberwolves took the NBA by storm this season as it seemed as though everything came together at the right time, making them one of the most feared teams in the West.

Although Minnesota has been highly successful this season and seems to be on track to be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come, Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports isn’t buying that Edwards will become anything more than a Domonique Wilkins clone, via “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”

“All-Star, a lot of points, highlight reel. Absolutely spectacular, but no titles,” Cowherd said.

Even though there’s a chance that Edwards turns out exactly how Cowherd predicted, most of the league seems to think this young kid is pretty special, as he’s even gotten compared to Michael Jordan, which the Chicago Bulls legend actually agreed with.

Obviously, only time will tell what the future holds for Edwards and the Timberwolves, as he’s got a long way to go before his legacy is set in stone.
