The Golden State Warriors made the most crucial decision in franchise history when they drafted Stephen Curry.

Curry changed the game of basketball, yet he doesn’t get the credit and recognition he deserves.

That’s why Colin Cowherd took some time to give Curry his flowers, praising him for revolutionizing the game despite not having an army of fans rushing to defend him like LeBron James.

“Steph [Curry]’s career has been discounted. He literally changed basketball… LeBron has an army of people that will defend him as the greatest player ever… Steph has never been given the respect he deserves… He is one of one.”

Curry didn’t do much talking in the early stages of his career.

It wasn’t until a couple of weeks ago that he went out of his way to state that he’s the greatest point guard ever.

And while some might not agree with that statement, which is valid, he’s definitely done more than enough to at least enter that conversation.

You see kids all over the world trying to be like Stephen Curry.

That might not always translate to winning basketball, but that’s because there’s only one Stephen Curry.

He changed the way the game is played, how defenders guard shooters all over the court, and single-handedly put the league in a chokehold when he entered his prime.

Still, given that not many new-school fans are fond of three-point happy offenses, and especially due to the fact that he had to go against LeBron so many times in the NBA Finals, it seems like some people are reluctant to give him his rightful place in NBA history.

He’ll have to continue proving his doubters wrong while he’s still got that fire inside of him.
