The word on the street for a couple of years has been that LeBron James has a strong desire to play with his son, Bronny, before he retires, and after an impressive NBA Combine performance, Bronny’s name is starting to move up the mock draft boards a bit.

With LeBron’s future up in the air and him having all the leverage in the world, Colin Cowherd has a message for the other teams in the league who think they have a chance at landing the James family.

On today’s episode of “The Herd,” Cowherd sent a message to all the teams he is hearing who are tossing their names into the hat in an effort to lure LeBron from LA, saying: “It’s not happening…You’re not getting LeBron. He’s not leaving.”

Cowherd added that another title does nothing for LeBron’s legacy or his net worth at this point and that he doesn’t want to start over again.

Both Bronny and LeBron have said that they want Bronny to take his own path, and we still don’t know if Bronny even wants to play with his father, though reports this week indicated that Bronny’s pre-draft workouts might be limited to just Los Angeles and the Phoenix Suns.

Angling to get Bronny to the Lakers would seemingly eliminate any possibility of LeBron going to the Suns or the Philadelphia 76ers or anywhere else.

There has never been another prospect who averaged four points per game who got this much attention, and it’s not even a lock Bronny will be drafted after his poor freshman season at USC, but some team really could think that if they draft him, they’re also getting his father.
