Sundays, especially on Fox, are going to look a lot different for the National Football League this year.

This is the case because Tom Brady is joining the booth as a color commentator for Fox.

He will be in the prime slot with play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt.

Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd recently gave his take on how Brady will do as an announcer this year.

“Then there’s Tom Brady, who, as a player, was meticulous and thorough, a people-pleaser, and detailed. That’s what I think you’ll get as a broadcaster. Brady will be the opposite of Tony Romo,” Cowherd said on The Herd.

“He’s a risk taker, calls out plays, sometimes makes weird sounds. I’m not sure which direction he’s going, but by the end of it, it’s usually wildly entertaining.” – Colin Cowherd on Tony Romo pic.twitter.com/pekyE4Hih5

It is certainly going to be interesting to watch Brady do his thing in the booth.

Not many seven-time Super Bowl winners come around that often, which is why it will be fun for fans to hear what he is thinking as arguably the greatest quarterback of all time.

What makes the likes of great color commentators and analysts such as Troy Aikman, Cris Collinsworth, and many others is that they were former players.

They also grew to become great broadcasters after decades of work.

In year one of his broadcasting career, Brady won’t be perfect.

It’ll take fans time to get used to his analysis and voice.

But in the end, this move to the booth is going to be awesome for all parties involved.

If he analyzes each game like he actually played the game, it will be a great season for the rookie broadcaster in 2024.
