The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most prestigious franchises in the NFL and always seem to figure out a way to be relevant and competitive from year to year, especially with head coach Mike Tomlin leading the charge on the sideline.
Coming into the 2023 NFL season, the Steelers had high hopes of potentially flying under the radar in the AFC while remaining a team that could contend for a playoff spot in what was expected to be a tough conference.
So far, the Steelers have done just that, but it has been a struggle, especially on the offensive side of the football, with second-year quarterback Kenny Pickett finding it tough to take another step in his progression to being the new face of the franchise in Pittsburgh.
The offensive woes got so bad for the Steelers this season, with the team getting outscored 166 to 195 up to this point, that the team decided to make a drastic move this week.
The Steelers fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada and now hope to turn things around offensively, but Colin Cowherd of FOX Sports doesn’t think Pickett will be able to overcome a culture in Pittsburgh driven by defense, via “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”
“I don’t think Kenny Pickett is good enough to overcome that culture.”

It’s early for Pickett in his time as Ben Roethlisberger’s successor, which is a role no one wanted to take on in Pittsburgh as he left enormous shoes to fill.
That said, he has some time to turn things around and prove to his doubters that he can be a productive quarterback in this league and become the next great Steelers quarterback.
