Each year in the NFL, there is a good chunk of playoff-ready teams but only a few can call themselves Super Bowl contenders.
Fox Sports’s Colin Cowherd recently revealed the eight teams that are within his Super Bowl bubble.
“Kansas City, Baltimore, Buffalo in the AFC…But I think the Rams, Niners, Detroit, Green Bay, and Philly are in it in the NFC,” Cowherd said on The Herd.
He also has the New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals, and Houston Texans just on the outside looking in.

First of all, the AFC feels like a deeper conference.
The Chiefs, Ravens, Bills, Bengals, Jets, and Texans all have a chance to take home the Lombardi Trophy because of either their elite quarterback play or the skill players around the quarterback.
In the NFC, despite Cowherd putting the Rams in there, it feels as if the top four teams, based on recent history, are the 49ers, Lions, Packers, and Eagles.
The retirement of star defensive tackle Aaron Donald could be a massive blow for Los Angeles.
Until further notice, the league is being run by the Chiefs because of what they have done over the last half-decade.
The 49ers have dominated the NFC but haven’t been able to crack the code in the Super Bowl.
In the AFC, each of those aforementioned teams has either made moves to improve the roster or has key players returning to the squad from injury, and that includes the return of Joe Burrow to the Bengals and Aaron Rodgers to the Jets.
In the NFC, the Lions, Packers, and Eagles all have either beaten or have come close to beating the 49ers in the playoffs in recent years.
Can one of those teams do it this year if each makes it deep into January?
Time will certainly tell which teams from both conferences can emerge as the true favorites in the clubhouse to hoist the Lombardi as the season moves along.
