It’s been decades since Michael Jordan dominated the NBA and put all eyes on Chicago.
It’s been years since the Chicago Cubs won the World Series, and the Chicago White Sox have been bottom-feeders for a long while as well.
The Chicago Blackhawks had some glory days, but hockey isn’t as popular as other sports.
That’s why Caleb Williams has the potential to not only be the first-ever great quarterback in Chicago Bears history, which is a crazy statement to make for a team that’s been around for more than a century, but also the actual owner of the Windy City.
At least, that’s how Colin Cowherd feels right now.
.@ColinCowherd and @DannyParkins discuss how Caleb Williams can own the city of Chicago…

Talking on The Volume, the renowned pundit stated that Williams could be the savior of a city that’s starved for a star.
He’s right on point.
Perhaps Derrick Rose was the last true superstar in Chicago, which is crazy, considering how crazy about sports this city is.
A lot of that should fall on the Reinsdorfs.
The White Sox and Bulls haven’t been an actual force for years now, and they continue to save money instead of bringing big-name players to one of the ultimate sports towns on Earth.
Everybody in Chicago loves the Bears, and if Williams turns out to be as good as expected, it shouldn’t take long before he owns the city.
Bears fans have gone through a lot, and they deserve to have a star there after so many years of heartbreak and subpar sports play.
