The Los Angeles Clippers might have some big questions to address in the upcoming offseason.
There is still a chance the team will overcome the competition and go all the way to the NBA Finals but there is also a chance that they lose in the opening round to the Phoenix Suns.
The latter is even more likely if they are without Kawhi Leonard for more games.
Leonard missed Game 3 on Thursday night and his absence resulted in Colin Cowherd making a definitive, stark, shocking statement.
“It is time now to move off Kawhi Leonard if you’re the Clippers,” Cowherd said on Friday morning.
“This is the rare instance where the star is letting down the franchise,” Cowherd added, saying that the team has a lot of promising pieces but Leonard sadly is no longer one of them.

Cowherd railed against Leonard, stating that he has “zero leadership” and is “not a dependable employee.”
He pointed out that all the load management Leonard received this season didn’t result in him being healthy for the playoffs – so what was the point?
Citing a lack of communication and a constant mystery about his injury status, Cowherd made an apt but painful comparison.
“The Clippers thought they were getting a star, what they’re getting is J.D. Salinger. He’s in hiding,” he said.
“Do you want to be taken seriously?” Cowherd asked the Clippers, who are trying hard to convert Los Angeles from a Lakers town to a Clippers city.
There are numerous people raising serious questions about Leonard following Thursday night’s no-show.
If the Clippers lose this series, those questions will be unavoidable.
When the Clippers first acquired Leonard a few years ago, it was thought they had found the missing piece that would lead them to great postseason success and a championship ring.
Instead, Leonard has just been missing.
