Paul George is now officially a member of the Philadelphia 76ers.

After months of rumor and speculation, George agreed to a four-year, $212 million deal with the Sixers.

Some people feel that George doesn’t show up in the postseason and others believe he is the missing piece Philadelphia needs.

Speaking on The Volume, Colin Cowherd made it clear that he’s in the latter camp, stating that the 76ers are now “a team that can get to the Finals” with George on board.

“That’s a team that can get to the Finals.”

Over the last few days, it’s become incredibly obvious that George was leaving the Los Angeles Clippers.

The team wasn’t able, or willing, to give George what he wanted in a new deal so he was weighing his options about where to go.

The 76ers have reportedly been eager to sign George for months, certain that he will fit alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey perfectly.

Those three players could make a lot of noise in the Eastern Conference and might give the Boston Celtics some trouble.

Plus, the 76ers still have some more money to spend so other signings could be on the horizon for them.

George spent the last five seasons with the Clippers but that team never materialized as fans had wanted.

A slew of tough injuries continually kept them out of the running for a championship.

When last season ended with another disappointing run in the playoffs, most people assumed that changes were coming.

George wanted more and he wished to perform with a team that had a stronger chance of winning a title.

He is now getting all he wanted with the 76ers.
