The Colorado Buffaloes got off to a strong start to the college football season.
Granted, North Dakota State isn’t particularly a powerhouse, so we might want to put the brakes on.
However, as expected, the game was still a massive success in terms of audience, drawing a reported 5.6 million viewers.
That’s a lot for a Thursday night game that involved no big-name programs.
With that in mind, the Buffaloes took to social media to take a big shot at Paul Finebaum, mocking him for stating that they were “irrelevant” in the college football picture.

Finebaum has been very critical of Deion Sanders’ decision to get a reporter banned from asking him questions.
He also called him “the best salesman” he’s ever seen, praising him for his charisma and the way he’s turned Colorado into a big story (via First Take).

Then again, he doesn’t see him ever leading them to the playoffs because he doesn’t think he’s patient enough to stay there long enough to turn the program around.
As for Shedeur Sanders, who claimed that they were everybody’s Super Bowl, the analyst stated that he’s done nothing but crash and burn.
Until Colorado proves that they can beat a good team, they’re nothing but a great story featuring one of the greatest and most charismatic athletes of all time, and their chances of making the playoffs are pretty slim.
