It’s never easy to walk away from your dream, especially if you already know what it’s like to be an NFL player.

That’s why veteran wide receiver Martavis Bryant will continue to attempt a comeback.

According to a report by Aaron Wilson of KPRC2, he’s going to work out with the Washington Commanders on Tuesday.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers player signed a reserve/future contract with the Dallas Cowboys earlier in the year, but he was released a couple of months later.

Notably, he’s now going to have his second workout with the Commanders, as they’ve already met in May.

Bryant hasn’t made an appearance in a game since 2018.

The 32-year-old was a fourth-round pick in 2014 by the Steelers, and he had a promising start to his career, hauling in 76 receptions for 1,314 yards and 14 touchdowns over two years.

The league later suspended him for the entire 2016 season over a violation of the substance abuse policy.

He got a chance to return to the Steelers and later the Las Vegas Raiders before being suspended again in 2018 for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement.

The league cleared him to play before the start of the 2023 season, and Commanders HC Dan Quinn got a chance to watch him with the Cowboys’ practice squad last season.

The Commanders are already set at wide receiver with Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, and Luke McCaffrey.

Then again, it never hurts to have some depth, especially if you’re looking to make a splash and make a postseason run.
