The Dallas Cowboys could win the NFC East this weekend if they can beat the Washington Commanders in Week 18.
But with their offensive line a little banged up, Dallas decided to bring in a familiar face for a workout this week.
The Cowboys will reportedly work out veteran offensive tackle La’el Collins, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, two seasons after Dallas released him.
Reunion? Free agent OT La’El Collins is arriving today in Dallas to work out with the #Cowboys, per me and @TomPelissero. Assuming he passes the physical, Dallas could sign him to the practice squad to work his way into football shape.

Collins signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2022 and played in 15 games before he tore his ACL and MCL.
The Bengals released Collins at the beginning of the 2023 season and he has yet to sign with a team despite reportedly being healthy enough to play.
The Cowboys’ offensive line has endured several injuries over the past few weeks.
Guard Zach Martin played through a quad injury in Week 16, tackle Tyron Smith missed Week 16 with a back injury but played in Week 17 and guard Tyler Smith suffered a full tear of the plantar fascia in his left foot this past week.
Smith could still play this week, but the Collins workout is perhaps an indication that the Cowboys want to be cautious with their starting left tackle.
Collins has played mostly right tackle in his career but began as a left guard for Dallas during his first two seasons in the league.
So if Smith can’t go, Collins would be a solid veteran replacement.
Collins started 71 of 74 games for the Cowboys from 2015 to 2021.
He signed a massive five-year, $50 million contract extension in 2019, but became a salary cap casualty after the 2021 season.
