Coming into the 2023 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys were one of the most intimidating teams in the league, with one of the best defenses led by superstar linebacker Micah Parsons.

Even though that defense was able to help this team win 12 games and clinch the NFC East division title, the team fell apart during the first round of the NFL playoffs against the upstart Green Bay Packers led by quarterback Jordan Love.

The Cowboys gave up 48 points to the Packers, which was a telling sign that some moves might need to be made during the NFL offseason in order to get this defense back to its dominant form ahead of the 2024 campaign.

According to Cowboys insider Mike Fisher via JPAFootball, Dallas is interested in acquiring pass rusher Haason Reddick from the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles.

Would be hard to envision Philly having any interest in trading him to a division rival.

Even if the Cowboys are interested in acquiring Reddick, the Eagles making a deal with Dallas seems like a stretch, as they’d be dealing with a direct competitor in the NFC East division.

The Eagles brass would almost certainly look for other options before making a deal with the Cowboys, as it would only make a talented defense that much better for the 2024 campaign.

It’ll be interesting to see what the Cowboys do during the NFL offseason in order to get back on track as one of the best teams in the NFC, as Dallas’ championship window is arguably open now and potentially for the next few years if Jerry Jones and company can continue to add pieces to the puzzle.
