The defense for the Dallas Cowboys has been one of its calling cards this season, with superstar linebacker Micah Parsons in the running for NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Unfortunately for Dallas, the defense wasn’t anything to rave about during Sunday’s game on the road against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium, with Josh Allen and company basically doing anything they wanted to do, especially in the ground game.

Bills running back James Cook had one of the best performances of the year as he looked like Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas against the stout defense of the Cowboys, rushing for 179 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries while also catching two passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.

On Monday, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy wasn’t all that thrilled with the way his defense performed in Buffalo, as he claimed that no game balls would be handed out to defensive players for their efforts, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.

Unfortunately for Parsons and company, the defense won’t have much time to dust itself off and regroup, with Dallas going on the road once again in Week 16 against the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins put on a clinic in Week 15 against the defense of the New York Jets, even without superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who was nursing an ankle injury.

The Week 16 showdown at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami will be a statement game for the Cowboys, with McCarthy’s squad having an opportunity to bounce back with a vengeance against one of the best teams in the AFC.
