Coming into Week 15 against the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium, the Dallas Cowboys were hoping to get another solid win against one of the better teams in the league.

Unfortunately, the Cowboys fell flat on Sunday in Buffalo, with the offense unable to do much of anything, especially after eight-time All-Pro guard Zach Martin went down with an injury and didn’t return to the game.

The loss of Martin seemed to be one of the main reasons the offense couldn’t get going, as it showed his importance with Dallas only managing to score 10 points against the Bills defense.

Although quad injuries can be tricky, it seems as though Martin’s absence on the field might not be that long, as the veteran guard has a chance to play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 16, according to head coach Mike McCarthy via Jon Machota of The Athletic.

Clearly, Martin’s presence on the field is paramount to the team’s success offensively, especially when it comes to star quarterback Dak Prescott, who is coming off one of his worst performances of the season.

With the Dolphins being arguably a better team than the Bills, the Cowboys will have their work cut out for them once again this week as they continue to play for seeding in the NFC in the final three games of the regular season.

The return of Martin, as long as he’s healthy, will be a push in the right direction for Dallas, but it remains uncertain how they’ll play against Miami.
