Cowboys Teammate Has High Expectations For Micah Parsons This Season

The Dallas Cowboys landed a true generational talent when they took Micah Parsons in the NFL Draft.

It didn’t take long until the Penn State product proved to be one of the most explosive and versatile players in the league, running away with NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors and even being a legit candidate for Defensive Player of the Year as well.

Parsons didn’t miss a step in his second season in the league, being even more impactful and impressive.

Now, safety Jayron Kearse expects him to take yet another step forward next season, telling Jon Machota of The Athletic that his impact in the locker room is as big as the one he has on the field.

Parsons is the most unique defensive player in the league.

He’s as efficient as an edge rusher as he is as a linebacker, and that kind of unique dynamic makes him a nightmare to game plan against.

He can be lined up almost everywhere, and rival teams have no way to prepare for what’s to come when he’s on the field.

Of course, it takes more than just one player to be good and find success in this league, but the Cowboys have done an outstanding job of putting this defense together.

Even so, most of their Super Bowl aspirations will once again hang on Dak Prescott and Mike McCarthy’s shoulders, but their defense will at least put them in a position to succeed more often than not this season.
